Nice to meet you! My name is Mirka, I'm 19 and a high school student -- or that's the most convenient way of translating it into English. I've recently returned to school after having been quite sick for half a year and decided to use an extra year to finish my studies. After this I'd like to study English or something artistic/creative. My other favourite school subjects are psychology and philosophy. I live alone in a small town in Finland, but my parents live very close by. Currently, I'm single and very bi-curious, have been for some time. I paint and draw sometimes and enjoy reading and listening to music. I don't play any instruments. Decorating my home with little things is fun. I'm an incredibly lazy jogger & cyclist. I'm going to take up fitness boxing next fall. When I move somewhere bigger and am a little older, I want to learn how to shoot a pistol - just for the funsies. My journal is about my daily life and everything that comes with it, varying from school to games I play to posts about make-up. About half of my posts are just pictures, but I don't have any skills or a fancy camera so don't expect that. I'm interested in friending you who are at least 18 and share even one thing with me, be it interest in drawing or being bisexual or anything, really. =) Other places I am: mmyrka @ Tumblr / the_greathorn @ Livejournal / Graphics community ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Stuff I like: Movies: Action's my favourite, with a bit of romance and suspense, but I don't like boring movies. I'd rather watch something a little weird than something too predictable. Sherlock Holmes, The Avengers, Thor, War Horse, Captain America, Iron Man, Love Actually, Bridget Jones, Black Swan, Sleuth, Inception, Shutter Island, Flightplan, LOTR, Mean Girls, The Scary Movies, Snakes on a Plane, Mulan, Tarzan, TMNT, etc. Tv: Crime series like Numb3rs, NCIS, Lie to Me; also Top Gear, Sex and the City, Grey's Anatomy, etc. Games: Mass Effect. Skyrim and Dragon Age. Civilization V. The Sims and Pokémon, too. I'm also very interested in other sci-fi based games but don't know which ones to try out. Books: Anything by Richard Hammond, really. The Hunger Games series. Some Stephen King books. Harry Potter, LOTR. Music: Tori Amos, Trivium, Skrillex, Nicki Minaj, Kent, The Lonely Island, Shakira, Electric Six, Sting, Nickelback, E Nomine, LMFAO, Toto, Nightwish... I don't have a "favourite band" or even a few. I like so many different artists and usually only a handful of songs by each. Style: Most of the time I get by with mascara and nailpolish, but sometimes I love to put on a lot of make-up! I don't follow fashion much at all, just buy pieces that look good in my eyes. I try to build my own look, whatever it is. Not very hardcore, though I do like piercings and have five of them myself. I don't represent any specific style genre. |
